I am a kindergarten teacher in Las Cruces, New Mexico. I currently have a classroom of 21 students. One of my students is diagnosed with ADHD and another has Petit Mal Syndrome. At the beginning of this school year, neither student had been diagnosed but were both in the process.
The student with ADHD was a child who could not control himself and was constantly moving about. It was very difficult for him to sit at the carpet for any length of time and would end up rolling around on the carpet. With the help of our SPED department, we were able to help him cope with a few strategies to help him focus longer to keep on task. Although these strategies were a bit useful, he was still unable to sit through our morning routine without rolling on the carpet every 15 minutes or so.
Our other student was always complaining of being tired throughout the whole day. Some of this was due to her 5-10 second seizures she was experiencing, but even after her medication had been administered, she was still complaining of being tired at the end of the day. This went on for a couple of months after her receiving her medicines and no longer experiencing seizures.
My other students were also complaining of being tired at the end of the day, which I expect being that they are kindergarteners and only 5 or 6 years of age. My assistant and I were also very tired at the end of the day, but after doing this for a few years; we have been experiencing this the whole time. It was “normal” for us to be tired at the end of the day and attribute it to only to our work. Little did we know, until now, that it was partly due to our working environment.
Now that we have had the Litro Glow lights in our classroom for a few months, we have realized that some of those tired experiences have dwindled down to almost nothing. We are still tired at the end of the day, just like anyone else would be after working, but we are not as tired as we were before. We no longer complain of headaches from “having a long day” with our students. We have also realized that our students are rarely telling us anymore that they are tired at the end of the day. They are amazed at times that it is time for us to prepare to go home. We have also had a minimal amount of students complaining of headaches.
As for my ADHD student, he had a time where he had been put on medications, but then we found out that he was losing weight due to the medications. He was then taken off the medications for a few weeks so that his doctors could make a determination if it was truly due to medications. During that time, we had our new Litro Glow lighting in place, and we realized that he did not revert to where he began in August. He did not need to use his normal beginning of the year strategies. He struggled to focus, but was still able to accomplish all tasks within a reasonable time frame. He was not rolling around on the carpet, except for maybe once during an hour to an hour and a half time span. We attribute this to the lighting. His behavior has changed for the better and his medications have not worked very well. His family is currently having difficulty getting him to take his medications most of the time and we have not seen a major setback in his behavior. He is very manageable even without medications.
Our little girl, who had seizures, now has energy all day long. Her medications were given to her a few months before we started using the Litro Glow lighting. She would still complain of being tired even after she started her medications, but now, she is amazed that the end of the day has come and she is not ready to go home.
I truly believe that the Litro Glow lighting has made a huge difference in my students learning. They are able to focus and complete their many tasks in a shorter time than when we began. They have also improved in their weekly assessments that I administer at the end of each week. Of course, they have a great teacher, but I also know that they have improved because their environment is much brighter, they don’t have to work hard at seeing anything, and they are not wearing out before the end of their learning day.

After utilizing the Litro Lamps from Litro Technologies for a period of 3 months in my kindergarten classroom, I experienced many positive behavior changes with my students. After three months we removed the Litro Lamps when the trial period was over. After removing the Litro lights, my students reverted to their prior behaviors in our classroom. One student that has ADHD was demonstrating aggressive and defiant behaviors, as well as being very disruptive in whole group and center activities throughout the day.
Another student with Petit Mal Syndrome also became very lethargic by the end of the day and also started to demonstrate defiant behaviors. With these two students, our classroom management became a chore again.
By the end of the day, the other students were complaining of being tired, headaches, and that they missed our other lights from before. I actually created a lesson on the lights where we did a compare and contrast chart. The students were very engaged in this lesson due to the fact that they were the experts in this matter.
As a teacher, putting aside the behavior issues, I was also able to see a change in the student performance in their schoolwork. Their focus during whole group and small group activities had diminished. It became very cumbersome to deal with this behavior once again. We had become very accustomed to a very low maintenance classroom behavior system that was working very well. We attributed the changes in behavior and schoolwork production to the change in the Litro lighting.
I would recommend this product to anyone, especially teachers of students with special needs or accommodations.

This is a letter of recommendation in regards to the Litro Glow lighting in our classroom. It has improved our attentiveness in all the students and teachers by having these lights in our class. They offer a better view of the class and we are able to focus better and have a better sense of awareness. They seem to be more calming and help those who are listless. I would recommend that these lights be used in every classroom because they help the students learn.

I am writing this testimonial in regards to the effects our classroom experienced once they removed the Litro Glow Lamps. Prior to the lights being taken out, we experienced a much calmer atmosphere amongst the students. The lights allowed for a much more alert class to interact with one another. Once the old lights were put back in; they made our classroom environment more muted and I feel the lights compromised our students’ interest in learning because the students were not as attentive as before. The brightness we had before was gone not only through the lamps they had taken out but, also in the students we had in our classroom.

I recently allowed Litro Technologies to install Litro Lamps in one of our classrooms at our school. I was also able to have them put into my office area.
I felt the difference between the usual yellow lights and the Litro Lamps was outstanding. Litro Technologies’ lights provided a bright light that was refreshing. Even though it seemed brighter, it did not bother my eyes, that I feel are very sensitive to light. It was easy to see the difference in light between the classroom that had the Litro Lamps and the classrooms with the yellow lights. The Litro Lamps provide a light similar to being outside. I know that Mrs. Cano enjoyed having them in her classroom and she felt it improved the atmosphere in her room which she felt supported improved behavior and learning.

My name is Juan S., I am the facility Maintenance Supervisor for Families and Youth Incorporated in Las Cruces, New Mexico. I would like to state what an awesome light lamp the Litro Glow company offers.
I performed a current consumption use to our standard 4ft. 4-lamp light fixtures we have in our facility. I used a ten wire loop procedure to determine amperage draws to 1/10th sensitivity and a very accurate wattage usage using Ohms Law. I compared my readings from my existing lamp set-up to the Litro Glow Lamp set-up. Exact number of lamps in the same light fixture showed the Litro Glow Lamps saves us 33% in energy consumption.
I would like to also mention that the light emitted is very soft yet it illuminated better than the standard fluorescent lamps we were using. I want to thank Mr. Cano for letting us use, test and purchase these T-8 Litro Glow Lamps.
I also like to mention the difference the CFL screw-in type lamps have made to our front office staff. Some of our staff prefer lamps to light their work stations and were very pleased with the type of light it provided. I tried six different types and makes in lamps but none got close to the soft white light the Litro Glow Lamps produce.

Hello, I was given the opportunity to use your product and have been very pleased with the outcome of the Litro Glow Lamps. For example since the lights have been in my office I have not had any headaches, completing work on the computer is easier because my eyes are able to better focus on the screen, and most important is the calming environment it has provided for my clients when they meet with me in my office.
